Shri Paragbhai Desai Wagh Bakri Scholarship For Diploma 2026-2027 Last date : 02.10.2025
“75 years of Tradition of excellence in Engineering & Technology Education,Research and Innovations”, Delhi College of Engineering, (initially established with the name – Delhi Polytechnic) came into existence in the year 1941 to cater the needs of Indian industries for trained technical manpower with practical experience and sound theoretical knowledge. The institution was set up at historic
Kashmere Gate campus as a follow up of the Wood and Abott Committee of 1938. It comprised of a multi disciplinary and multi level institution offering wide ranging programmes in engineering, technology, arts and sculpture, architecture, pharmacy and commerce. The erstwhile DCE functioned from its historic Kashmere Gate Campus for almost 55 years and has shifted in 1996 to its lush green sprawling campus of 164 Acres at Bawana Road, adjoining Sector-17, Rohini, Delhi-42. Its shifting to new campus has added the dimension of research and caused innovations in plenty, which has received high national and international acclaim. As a Delhi Technological University it has the desired autonomy to excel and shape itself as a world class Technological University.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering and Production & Industrial Engineering has seen considerable growth since its inception in 1941. The department offers UG programme in Mechanical, Production & Industrial Engineering and Automobile Engineering and PG programmes on Thermal Engineering, Production Engineering, Renewable Energy Technology and Computational Design. About 50 research Scholars are presently pursuing their Ph.D. research work. The department possesses modern laboratories equipped with latest experimental setups, and research facilities for instrumentation, experimental stress analysis, strength of materials, fluid mechanics, IC engines, Automotive Engineering, Robotics, Heat Transfer, Solar Energy, Flexible Manufacturing System, Computational Fluid Dynamics supported by Software like View-Flex, CAD-CAM, etc.The Department has small to medium capacity state of art bio-diesel processing units. Different species of non-edible oil such as linseed, Thumba, Jatrophs, cottonseed, waste cooking oil etc. and high FFA oils such as rice bran, Neem, Mahua etc. have been successfully converted into bio diesel.
All Submissions will be reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical research and relevance to conference contributions. RAME-2020 International Conference proceedings will be published with Springer Lecture notes in Mechanical Engineering (Scopus Indexed) and certificates will be distributed to the conference participants & contributors during the conference. Papers must be submitted strictly in the RAME-2020 template.
The main topics of the conference have been classified into the following four categories:
• Thermal Engineering
• Energy Science and Engineering
• Product Design and Development
• Industrial and Production Engineering
In addition to the above any other topic relevant to theme of the conference shall be welcomed.
The main objective of RAME-2020 is to provide an opportunity for leading academicians, engineers, scientists, researchers, industrial professionals and students from around the world to network and have scientific discussions on the latest developments in the fields of Mechanical engineering. It shall provide a platform for communication among them on a wide variety of scientific areas with a common interest in nurturing the recent advances in Mechanical Engineering. The conference is expected to have participation of about 150 papers from 500 authors and about 600 delegates are expected to attend the conference. We plan to hold two plenary sessions and 15 (5×3) parallel technical paper/poster presentation sessions. Certificates shall be distributed at the end of each session.
