CSIR-NML invites applications from motivated candidates with consistently good academic credentials for admission to the Ph.D. programmes in Engineering:

(a) M.Tech. in Metallurgical / Mineral / Chemical / Mechanical Engg or Materials Science.

(b) M.Sc. Students having CSIR-SRF/ NET-JRF or NET Lecturership

(c) Fresh B.Tech or equivalent in the area of Metallurgical / Mineral / Chemical / Mechanical Engg or Materials Science having valid GATE / NET (Engineering) score / INSPIRE Fellowship

(d) Experienced candidates having M.Tech / B. Tech degree, working in industries are also eligible for admission under industry sponsored student category.

The major research areas are Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, Surface Engineering, Applied and Analytical Chemistry, Materials Engineering and Evaluation, Energy & Environment.
