About Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme 2023-24
CENTRE FOR CULTURAL RESOURCES AND TRAINING

The CCRT is implementing Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme to provide facilities to outstanding talented children selected in the age group of 10 to 14 years (as per the cut off eligibility dates), studying either in recognized schools or belonging to families practicing traditional performing arts for getting specialized training in various cultural fields such as traditional forms of music, dance, drama, painting, sculpture, crafts and literary arts, laying special emphasis on rare art forms, which are in the process of becoming extinct. The scholarship awarded under the scheme is for two years at a time which is renewable after every two years till the completion of the first university degree stage of education or up to the age of 20 years, whichever is earlier, subject to awardees maintaining satisfactory progress.

650 scholarships are awarded every year, as per details given below:

* 375 scholarships for General categories & Others

* 125 scholarships for Traditional Artist Families

* 100 scholarships for Tribal Culture /ST

* 20 scholarships for Differently Abled (Divyang

* 30 scholarships for Creative Writing/Literary Arts

The value of scholarship is Rs.3600/- (Rupees Three Thousand Six Hundred) per year and actual tuition fee paid for the specialized training is also reimbursed up to Rs.9000/- (Rupees Nine Thousand) per year.

Children whose date of birth is in between 01.07.2009 and 30.06.2013 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply for the award of scholarships for the year 2023-24.
