Admission to DNB Broad Speciality/ Super Speciality Courses in Tamil Nadu Government medical Colleges for January 2008 Session

Admission to DNB Broad Speciality/ Super Speciality Courses in Tamil Nadu Government medical Colleges for January 2008 Session

1. Application forms for the above courses will be available online on the website www.tnhealth.org from 31.12.2007 to 07.01.2008. Candidates can register their particulars online till 5 PM on 07.01.2008, take a print out of the filled-up application form, paste one recent Stamp size photograph, and attach the following:

Demand Draft to the value of Rs.1250/- (Rupees one thousand two hundred and fifty only) drawn in favour of ?The Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai? towards the Application Fee (SC/ST candidates are exempted from the payment of the cost of application fee).

Attested Photocopies of essential documents.

?Service Proforma? in case of service candidates with complete ?Service Particulars? forwarded though the proper channel with the remarks of the forwarding authorities.

2. Candidates should be citizens of India and should have undergone MBBS/ PG Diploma / PG Degree Courses recognized by the University/ NBE/ MCI.

3. The candidates applying for Broad and Super Specialities should not be above 50 years of age as on 31.12.2007.

4. Candidates applying for DNB Broad and Super Speciality Courses must have passed the National Board?s CET examination in December 2005 or later.

5. Post Graduate Diploma holders applying for lateral entry for broad specialities are exempted from qualifying the CET.

6. Candidates who had joined a DNB Course in broad/ super speciality course in any branch and discontinued the course on any grounds after the cut off date fixed by the NBE i.e. 15.02.2008 are eligible to apply only after a period of 2 years from the date of discontinuance of the course.

7. Candidates who had joined any Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma/ 5 Yr M. Ch (Neuro Surgery)/ Super Speciality Course and discontinued the course on any grounds after the cut off date fixed by the MCI are eligible to apply only after period of two years from the date of discontinuance of the course.

8. Candidates who are undergoing a Postgraduate Degree/ Diploma/ Super Specialty/ DNB Course in any branch are not eligible to apply.

9. Candidates who have completed a Post Graduate Degree/ Super Speciality Degree/Diplomate in National Board in one branch are not eligible to apply for admission to DNB broad speciality / Super Speciality in another branch are not eligible to apply for admission to DNB broad speciality/ Super Speciality in another branch.

10. Those Service candidates who have put in Less Than Three Years of Satisfactory continuous service as on 31.12.2007 as mentioned in the prospectus for DNB are not eligible for apply DNB Courses.
