The application for Dori Lal Aggarwal National Meritorious Disability Scholarship – 2019 has started from Sunday, September 1, 2019. This process will run till Monday, September 30, 2019. It is being organized under the aegis of the Agra branch of the handicapped aid organization Mathura and the Amar Ujala Foundation. This information was given by Prem Chand Jain, secretary of the institution.

Jain said, students with disabilities who are BA, BCom, BSc, MA, MCom, B.Ed., M.Ed., D.ED., LLB., LLM., MCA, MBA, MBBS, MS, MD, B.Tech or M.Tech, M.Phil and Ph.D. Regularly studying in a government college, one can apply for this scholarship. Name, class and mobile number will have to be sent by email to vssagra2017(at)gmail.com to get the application form. The last date for receiving the application form is September 20, 2019.

The president of the institute, Dr. MC Gupta said that students with physical disabilities, arms, legs amputated, polio sufferers, deaf, deaf, blind and mentally handicapped can apply. Selection for the scholarship will be on merit. Scholarships of 12 thousand to 24 thousand rupees per year will be given to selected students. It is noteworthy that in 2018, 139 students from 140 districts of 16 states were given a scholarship of Rs 22 lakh.

Will have to re-apply

The founder of the institute, Dr. Virendra Kumar Gupta, told that students who have completed their studies and have enrolled in any other class this year, they will have to apply for scholarship again this year. Students who got scholarship last year, who have not completed their studies and are still studying, will have to send the self-attested marksheet of the passed class in May-June 2019 to vssagra2017(at)gmail.com soon. They will not have to reapply for this year’s scholarship.
