Bhumi Fellowship 2027

About Bhumi Fellowship 2027

The Bhumi Fellowship is a two-year, full-time journey for young people who want to create meaningful change in education while growing as leaders themselves.

As a fellow, you will work closely with students, teachers, school leaders, parents, and communities to help strengthen learning environments in schools. But the fellowship is about much more than classroom teaching. It is about building relationships, understanding communities, collaborating with different stakeholders, and learning what it truly takes to create lasting change.

The fellowship is not just about teaching in schools. It is also about developing the mindset, skills, and leadership needed to create long-term impact in education and communities.

Why is the Bhumi Fellowship Important?

India has made huge strides in getting children into classrooms. But enrollment isn’t the same as learning. Many schools are stretched thin – too few trained teachers for too many students, systems still catching up, leadership pulled in a dozen directions at once. That’s the gap we built this Fellowship to close, one committed leader at a time.

Two years. One Classroom. Influence Change.

Bhumi Fellowship is a fully-paid, 2-year program for 20–30 year olds who want to influence Indian education, not by studying it, but by teaching in a government school for two years.
