WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR RECRUITMENT OF POSITIONS FOR ONE JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF)

Applications are invited by the undersigned from the eligible candidates for ONE post of Junior Research Fellows (JRF) in the following research projects sponsored by Central Silk Board (CSB); Government of India.

Title of the project:

1. Molecular characterisation and assessment of the efficacy of low molecular weight peptides isolated from mulberry leaf against flacherie disease of silkworm (in collaboration with University of North Bengal, Siliguri, West Bengal).

Duration of the project:

3 years till 14th May 2021 (JRF for initial two years and later upgradable to SRF based on the performance of the candidate).The selected person has to work at both the collaborative institutes CSR&TI, Berhampore and University of North Bengal, Siliguri.

I. Essential Qualifications for JRF:

* Project: M.Sc. Botany/Zoology/Life Sciences/Sericulture/Biotechnology/Biochemistry or equvivalent with minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

II. Desirable qualifications for JRF

* Working knowledge in Protein purification, biochemical analysis and culturing of microorganisms.

III Emoluments:

1. JRF: Rs. 15000/- per month + HRA as per Central Silk Board (CSB) rules.

Eligible candidates may appear for a Walk-in-Interview at the time and venue given below with bio-data and a passport size photograph, originals and one copy each of educational qualifications from 10th class onwards, date of birth, NOC from present employer (if employed), research experience certificate and caste certificate for SC/ST candidates, along with valid e-mail Id and telephone/mobile numbers.

1. Date of Walk-in-interview: 24th October, 2019
2. Time: 10.00 AM (candidates should reach the venue by 9.30 AM for verification of documents).
3. Entry of candidates will be permitted only till 11 AM.
4. Venue:
CENTRAL SERICULTURAL RESEARCH AND TRAINING INSTITUTE, Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Govt, of India, Berhampore P.O., Pin: 742 101 District – Murshidabad, West Bengal, INDIA (LANDMARK: Back side of Berhampore Court Railway Station).

5. Upper age limit : 28 years as on the date of interview (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and women candidates).

6. No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.

7. The above mentioned positions are purely temporary on contractual basis and are co-terminus with the project. Further claim for any post will not be entertained thereatfer.

8. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.

9. The decision of the Director shall be final and binding in all respects.

10. Incomplete applications will summarily be rejected.

11. Upon selection, the candidate has to submit Medical Fitness Certificate obtained from District Medical Officer
