Position – Junior Research Fellow-JRF/ Junior Project Fellow -JPF (one) for a research project funded by GB Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment & Sustainable Development, Kosi-Almora (MoEF&CC, GoI) under IERP scheme entitled “Development of updated landslide hazard map of Sikkim state”.

Qualification – M.Sc./M. Tech (Geology/Geosciences/Geoinformatics), Environmental Science -passed in Good Second Class having knowledge of geological mapping, computer, Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System (RS&GIS). Willingness for extensive field-works in Northeastern Himalayan terrain is highly desirable. Preference will be given to NET qualified candidate, Non NET candidate may also attend the interview. Due to present pandemic condition the interview will be held on online mode. The information/link for online interview will be shared with the eligible candidates. Age: Not exceeding 28 years (Age relaxation as per rule)

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000 + HRA @24% per month for NET qualified candidate and Rs 16,000 per month + HRA @24% per month for none NET qualified candidate.

This fellowship is purely temporary and shall be provided for project/scheme duration (one year) and the progress performance of the fellow. Selection for fellowship shall not confer any right of regular appointment in the University.
