The Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee invites applications from outstanding and enthusiastic researchers for postdoctoral position under the mentorship of Dr. Ravindra Pandey focused on “Probing the Complex Mechanism of pHlow Insertion Peptides in a Model Cell Membranes Using Sum Frequency Generation Spectroscopy”

The prospective candidate is expected to have a strong background in the area of Physical Chemistry and will explore the complex protein membrane interactions using interface specific sum frequency generation spectroscopy.

Last date for the submission of application is 15th October 2020.

Minimum Qualification and Experience: Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry/Physics with experience of Laser Spectroscopy, MATLAB and LabVIEW.

Candidates who have recently submitted their thesis are also eligible to apply subject to the condition that they will furnish the proof of the award of Ph.D. degree at the time of interview at IIT Roorkee, if shortlisted. However, the preference will be given to the candidate having prior postdoctoral experience.

Duration and Fellowship amount:

The duration of the fellowship will be of two years extendable to one more year, if necessary.

The candidate is expected to join the Department as soon as offer letter has been released. The
fellow will receive a consolidated fellowship as below in addition to the contingency grant of
Rs.50,000/-per annum.

First two years: Rs.55,000/- per month

Third year: Rs. 60,000/- per month
