The Department of Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee invites applications from outstanding and enthusiastic researchers for postdoctoral position under the mentorship of Prof. Sachin Kumar Srivastava focused on “Development of Fiber Optic Plasmonic Biosensors using Carbon Nanomaterials for Detection of Blood Cancer”

The prospective candidate is expected to have a strong background in the area of Photonics and have thorough experience on fiber optic, plasmonic and/or nanostructured photonic biosensors. The postdoc is also supposed to have a working experience on design and development of plasmonic/nanophotonic films. The postdoc will be working on the design and development of photonic biosensors using plasmonic and other nanostructured coatings integrated with/ coated on optical fibers primarily in the area of blood cancer detection. Functionalization of biomolecules over photonic surfaces will be desired.
