About Indian Institute of Technology Ropar Junior Research Fellowship

 

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the following position to work in the DST-SERB project entitled “Influence of self-affine and periodic surface fluctuations on ‘Coffee ring effect’” under the supervision of undersigned. The position is purelytemporary and is initially for a period of one year. The duration may be extended further if theperformance during the first year is very good.The selected JRF candidate may be permitted to register for PhD program as per the existing institute rules.

 

The project involves the study of self-affine and corrugated surfaces on evaporative self-assembly process (commonly known as Coffee ring effect) as a function of particle size and type.Efforts would be made to estimate the surface and interparticle forces thereby giving rise to the dried droplet patterns observed in the experiments.

 

Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Positions: 1 (One)

Duration: Initially for a period of 1 year. May be extended further, based on performance.

Emoluments: As per DST-SERB rules.

 

Essential Qualifications:

 

1. Must have a Master’s degree in Physics or equivalent with minimum 60% mark, with a strong commitment and motivation to pursue research in the subject area.

2. Must have a valid CSIR-UGC (NET or JRF) or a valid GATE score in addition to the above mentioned qualification.
