Applications are invited from eligible candidates, for filling up the post of “Research Assistant” on contract basis in NIMHANS funded project entitled “Understanding and estimating the prevalence of perceived high support needs among persons with benchmark disabilities and their family caregivers- A community-based study” – under Dr. Hareesh Angothu, Associate Professor of Psychiatry & Principal Investigator, NIMHANS, Bengaluru.

Educational Qualification : M. Phil Psychiatric Social worker Or MSW with experience of working in a mental health setting. Proficiency in Kannada speaking and writing is essential.

Desirable: Knowledge of severe mental disorders, experience of conducting research with patient, carers or healthcare staff. Basic computer knowledge.

Description of work: Has to visit homes of persons with disabilities residing within Chikkaballapur district for conducting home based interviews. This work involves frequent travel within Chikkaballapur District

Maximum age limit : 35 Years

Emoluments : 25,000/- p.m. (Consolidated).

Duration of the employment : 10 months. Initial appointment will be made for 6 months, extendable based on the performance of the candidate
