P.T. Bhaskara Panicker Emeritus Fellowship for Science Writing and Science Communication

About The Fellowship

With an aim to increase public understanding of science and technology and to encourage writers who wish to take up creative science popularisation ventures, KSCSTE has launched the programme entitled ‘P.T. Bhaskara Panicker Emeritus Fellowship for Science Writing and Science Communication’.The fellowship comprises of an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- for a period of one year and the fellowship shall be granted as two equal instalments.

Eligibility criteria

Essential Qualification: Post graduate degree in science or related subjects

Essential Experience:

1.Should have excellent publication record (in English and Malayalam).

*  Age: Below 60 years

* The aspirants shall submit a proposal specifying the area on which the books will be written. A Selection/Screening Committee will evaluate the proposal and the final selection will be made based on the qualification and experience of the candidate.

*  At least one book in the field of science or related areas shall be completed during the period of fellowship.
* The fellow shall report to the Head, Science Education Division, KSCSTE.
* The fellow shall submit monthly report to KSCSTE on the progress of writing.
* The performance of the fellow shall be monitored by a Committee constituted by KSCSTE.
* The fellow shall fulfil all the necessary requirements of the fellowship prior to commencement of the fellowship tenure.
* The fellow shall execute an undertaking/agreement with KSCSTE in stamp paper to comply with the policies, rules and regulations of KSCSTE.
