Applications are invited for filling-up of Two posts of Senior Research Fellows @ Rs 31,000 pm (fixed) + HRA @ 16% under the scheme “Monitoring of Pesticides at National Level, CSS-69 (PC 6025)” on the prescribed form available in the office of undersigned on payment of Rs 200/- in the shape of bank draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana on any working day from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. alongwith attested copies of certificates for an initial period of six months from the date the incumbent joins or till the termination of the scheme, whichever is earlier.

Qualifications:

i. B.Sc. /B.Sc. (Agriculture) with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks

ii.M.Sc. in Entomology (Agriculture) with minimum OCPA 6.50 / 10.00 basis or 65% marks OR M.Sc. in Chemistry / Agricultural Chemicals with minimum OCPA 6.50 / 10.00 basis or 65% marks with NET and three years research experience

Note-I: The candidate, who does not possess Master’s degree in the Entomology subject but possesses Ph.D. degree in Entomology, shall be eligible

Note-II: Desirable qualifications:

* Candidate with experience of working on GC/HPLC/GC-MS or sufficient working exposure to pesticides residues analysis

* One research paper published in science citation index (SCI)/NAAS rated (≥ 4.0) Journal

The last date for the receipt of applications duly complete in all respects in this office is 16.06.2020. Incomplete applications will not be entertained. The candidates should appear for the interview on 19.06.2020 at 11.00 A.M. in the office of the undersigned. No separate intimation for the interview will be sent and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The amount of first full month of fellowship payable to the Senior Research Fellow will be kept as Security with the Head, Department of Entomology and it will be paid to him /her as and when he/she leaves the fellowship after giving the requisite one month’s notice or deposits the amount of one month’s fellowship. The Senior Research Fellow resigning the fellowship shall have to give one month notice or have to deposit one month salary in lieu of one month notice. However, this will not hold good in respect of other assignments in the PAU.
