For admission to the five year integrated Master of Arts Programme in one among the following three disciplines, namely, Economics, English and Development Studies.

Eligibility: Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent or appearing in 2010 with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in their Qualifying Examination. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure a minimum of 55% in aggregate in the qualifying examination. If any Board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marts on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying equivalent marks, and submit it at the lime of joining. In case, such a certificate is not provided by the candidate, the decision of the HSEE Admission Committee regarding his/her eligibility shall be final. The GE and OBC categories must not have been born earlier than 1″ October 1985 and for SO ST/PD categories it is 1″ October 1980.

Reservation of Seats : As per Government of India rules (refer website for details)

Pattern of Examination : 2 Vi hours of Objective type questions administered through Computers and % hour of Essay writing on paper.

Examination Fee: Rs,400/- for female students and those belonging to SC/ST/PO categories and Rs.BOO/- for all others.

Application for HSEE – 2010 Is ONLY through on line mode. No credit/debit card is necessary for applying online. Payment enabled through Sank challan that shall be generated along with the application form. Downloaded and completed handcopy of online application should reach ItT Madras on or before 17.00 hours of Feb. 1, 2010.
