Post-Graduate Programme in Agri-Business Management (PGP-ABM)

Commencing June 2008

IIMA is one of the few management schools in the world which offer a two-year Post-Graduate Programme in Agri-Business Management (PGP-ABM). Globalization of trade, explosion of new technologies, rapidly changing role of governments and intense competitive pressures have brought many new challenges to the Indian food and agribusiness sector and is placing unprecedented demands on future managers. IIMS?s commitment and expertise in agribusiness sector dates back from its inception, when the institute had accepted managerial issues related to under-managed and socially important sectors (particularly food and agriculture) as part of its thrust area.

The PGP-ABM programme is specially designed to develop young men and women into competent professional managers for the agriculture, food and food procession, agribusiness, rural and allied sectors. The programme curriculum has a solid managerial foundation, a focus on food and agricultural marketplace, and is designed to build and enhance a global perspective among participants.

How to Apply:

The programme is open to graduates of any discipline with an interest in agribusiness and allied sectors (conditions apply). The CAT 2007 Bulletin is available at designated branches of the UTI Bank/Vijaya Bank for Rs.1100/- (Rs.550/- for SC/ST candidates). Under exceptional circumstances CAT Bulletin can also be obtained directly from Admissions Offices of any one of the IIMs by sending a crossed demand draft for Rs.1100/- (Rs.550/- for SC/ST candidates if applied with a copy of the SC/ST certificate) drawn in favour of the respective IIM. Important Dates:

Last date for obtaining the CAT Bulleting from UTI Bank/ Vijaya Bank August 16, 2007 (Thursday)

Late date for obtaining the CAT Bulleting from IIMs: August 20, 2007 (Monday).

Last date for receipt of completed CAT applications by the IIMs: September 8, 2007 (Saturday).

Common Admission Test: November 18, 2007 (Sunday).
