Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology (IICPT) is a world class R&D and Educational Institution under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India. Considering the importance and growth, Government of India has identified Food Processing as a sunrise sector, IICPT offers B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph. D degrees in Food Process Engineering (Affiliated with Tamilnadu Agricultural University). IICPT has world class teaching, laboratory & research facilities and has tie ups with several International Institutions.

B. Tech: Pass in higher secondary or equivalent examination with eligible marks* in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry Mode of Selection: Candidate selection will be done based on aggregate marks*

M. Tech: Should have passed a Four year Bachelor’s Degree with 60% marks in any of the following disciplines: Food Process Engineering, Food Technology, Post Harvest Technology, Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Process Engineering. Mode of Selection: Candidate selection will be done based on under graduate marks and the oral viva-voce

Ph. D: Should have passed a Four year Bachelors Degree and two years Masters Degree with 60% marks in any of the following disciplines: Food Process Engineering, Agricultural Process Engineering, Food and Agricultural Process Engineering, Post Harvest Technology and Food Technology. Mode of Selection: Candidate selection will be done based on post graduate marks, publications and the oral viva-voce.

Applications can be obtained from IICPT office from 29.07.2011, during all working days between 9.30 am and 5.00 pm, by paying Rs. 500/- for OC/OBC, Rs.250 for SC/ST in cash / DD in favour of ‘Director, IICPT payable at Thanjavur. The soft copy of the applications will also be available in the institute’s website: www.iicpt.edu.in
