ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT

Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management (PGDFM) (Two Year Full Time Course – 2013-15 Batch)

IIFM is a sectoral management school imparting management skills in the areas of Forests, Environment, Livelihood & Conservation, and Development Management with its flagship programme – the Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management (PGDFM). The PGDFM is a Two-Year full time residential programme approved by AICTE and AIU. The programme has an excellent record of 100% campus placement. The programme typically provides competence in shaping career opportunities in the newly emerging fields of corporate environmental responsibility, clean development mechanism, carbon trading, environment management, eco-tourism, development finance, rural finance, renewable energy management, etc. Admission to PGDFM programme is through CAT examination conducted by IIMs. IIFM will use the CAT score for short-listing of the candidates. The candidates should follow the CAT advertisement of IIMs for procurement of CAT 2012 vouchers. However, IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the program.

Fellow Programme in Management (Doctoral Level) (Approved by AICTE)

The FPM is a 4 Year full time residential programme approved by AICTE. IIFM invites applications for its 2013-17 doctoral level Fellow Programme in Management commencing from July 2013.

Areas of Specialization: (1) Communication and Extension Management (2) Ecosystem and Environment Management (3) Environment and Development Economics (4) Financial Management (5) HRM (6) I T & Q T (7) Marketing Management (8) Sociology and Community Development (9) Technical Forestry.

To apply: Candidates gain entry to the programme through valid CAT/GMAT scores, UGC- CSIR-JRF/NET, GATE, ICAR NET, FRI entrance test for Ph.D or PGDFM/PGDM from IIFM/ IIMs. Further inservice candidates are eligible to apply as per the established norms.

The candidates have to apply separately to IIFM for both the programmes and the detailed advertisements shall appear in newspapers from September 2012.
