About Indian Road Safety Campaign Policy Internship

Indian Road Safety Campaign’s Policy program is essentially a 2.5-month internship that encourages and equips students to take effective action for road safety in their local areas, by liaising with relevant stakeholders.

Guided by experts, mentors and the team of Indian Road Safety Campaign, students undertake collaboration with civic bodies, traffic police, the general public, and any other appropriate stakeholders to tackle issues related to road safety and infrastructure.

Everyday observations such as non-functioning traffic lights, lack of traffic signs, potholes, etc that make their surroundings unsafe come under focus during this internship. Instead of waiting for others to take action, students become agents of change.

VISION

Indian Road Safety Campaign believes that it is the need of the hour to engage in a collective endeavor to build a safer India. Reaching the youth and engaging them on the ground level through the policy program is one of the many steps we need to take to achieve our 10-year multistakeholder roadmap to reduce road crash fatalities and achieve vision zero.

This document will help you understand the purpose and methods of each phase. There are a total of 5 phases with 2 tasks in each phase. Completion of all 5 phases is mandatory to deem the internship as completed.
