About Institute of Social Sciences Internship-2019 for Under-Graduate Students

The Institute of Social Sciences, Regional Centre Puducherry announces its Internship Programme-2019 for  those who are pursuing Under Graduation in any discipline in Social Sciences from any University/Institution/College in India. The under-graduate internship programme aims at exposing the students to social science research and academic & outreach activities of the Centre.

Period of Internship: One or Two Months (but strictly not less than a month). Students can choose the period between 01 May 2019 and 31 July 2019 in accordance with the time available to them for their internship.

Progamme Outline: In addition to getting exposure to social science research and coming out with a short research paper on any topic of their interest, the students will have to assist in the academic and outreach activities of ISS Regional Centre Puducherry during their period of internship.

Registration Fee: A one-time non-refundable nominal tuition fee of Rs.1500/- (Indian Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred Only) per student will be charged. The students from socially and economically deprived background are eligible for fee concession on production of proof.

Application: The interested candidates must send their filled in application along with their resume and a brief write up (not more than 300 words) explaining their interest in any topic of their choice to rcpy(at)issin.org (addressed to the Regional Director, Institute of Social Sciences, Regional Centre Puducherry) on or before 15 April 2019. The short listed candidates will be informed on 17 April 2019 by email with registration form, details of mode of payment of fee, etc. The selected candidates must email their filled in registration form with the details of fee paid on or before 25 April 2019. The selected candidates are required to join the internship programme on the first day of the period they choose.
