NOTIFICATION FOR KERALA STATE BIODTVERSITY INTERNSIilP SCIIEME

Applications are invitedfor 25lntemship Scheme from eligible candidates who wish to do internship in Biodiversity Conservation. Last date for the receipt of application is 31st July 2019.

GUIDELINES

Name of the Scheme: “Kerala State Biodiversity Intemship Scheme”

Purpose: To allow short-term exposure to “selected candidates” to various areas relating to Biodiversity conservation as ‘Interns’. A list of areas for which Intemship is available for 2Ol9-20is provided as Annexure-I.

Eligibility: The Applicant pursuing Post-Graduation/ graduation completed from any recognized College/ University/ Institution within Keralal India (UGC recognized) shall be eligible.

Period: The period of Internship shall be two months. Internship is a full time program hence Interns are required to observe the working hours of KSBB.

Support: Interns will be required to have their own laptops. KSBB shall provide them working space, Intemet facility and the Intems will be eligible for a monthly stipend of Rs.5000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only). Student Trainee has to make his/her own alrangements for boarding /lodging, transportation and stationery etc. No stipend will be paid if the student discontinue the internship before completion of one month.

Procedure for Applicants: Interested Applicants may apply with hard copy of biodata and a photo. The application shall be accompanied by a recommendation of the Head of the Institution if the candidate is pursuing studies. Interns must also clearly indicate the area of interest and the preferred district of work. The application may be send by post or by hand to The Member Secretary, Kerala State Biodiversity Boar ( Kailasam T.C 4/1679 (1), No. 43, Belhaven Gardens, Kowdiar P.O, Thiruvananthapuram- 695 003.

Procedure for Selection and Other Modalities of the Scheme: The selection will be based on merit. Depending upon the subject, area of interest and location of study, KSBB reserves the right to fix up the eligibility criteria.

Each selected intem will be given a specific task to be completed within the two months. Each intem must complete the given task as per the quality and quantity fxed for him and her. Each intem may feel free and contact discuss the task with any of the Members of the Board, or Chairman to get clarification or support for achieving the given task of the same standard as fixed by the Board.

Experience Certifrcate: Interns shall present a re,port of the work as well as study carried out at the end of their Internship. A certificate will be issued to the Intem at the end of his/her intemship after evaluation of work. Intems not complsting the requisite period will not be issued any Certificate.
