A Day in the Life

As a Graduate Engineer Trainee, you’ll embark on a dynamic, 12-month rotational program designed to accelerate your professional growth within L’Oréal’s Operations function at our Baddi or Chakan plant. You’ll experience a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative environment, working within lean teams across various departments. You will be assigned project managers and mentors who will guide your development and provide support throughout the program. Your rotations will include working with some of the functions mentioned below:

Manufacturing: Gain hands-on experience across various manufacturing teams, including Manufacturing, EHS, Production–packing, and maintenance, learning about production processes, optimization techniques, and quality control procedures. You’ll contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements within these specific areas.

Supply Chain: Dive into the world of supply chain management, learning about logistics, inventory control, procurement strategies, and supplier relationships. You’ll participate in projects aimed at optimizing the flow of materials and products.

Quality Control: Develop expertise in quality control methodologies, testing procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll contribute to ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
Packaging: Explore the intricacies of packaging processes, from design and material selection to efficient packaging lines and sustainability initiatives. You’ll contribute to optimizing packaging processes and reducing environmental impact.

Product Development: You will gain a foundational understanding of new product development processes, working alongside experienced engineers and scientists. This will provide valuable insight into the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch.

Sourcing: You may work closely with the Sourcing team, gaining exposure to supplier selection, negotiation, contract management, and performance monitoring. You’ll learn about sustainable sourcing practices and contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the supply chain. You’ll gain an understanding of the entire sourcing vertical, from identifying needs to managing supplier relationships.
