Mittal Institute Internship

Internship Grants

Internship grants are awarded to students who choose to work with specific organizations on a project developed by either the organization or in collaboration with the internship-site. Students can either work with an organization of their choice or choose from the Mittal Institute partner organizations for internship opportunities. Preference is given to Mittal Institute partnered organizations. Summer internships should be a minimum 8 weeks. Wintersession internships should be a minimum of 3 weeks.

Winter Session: October 12, 2018
Winter Session Grant Recipient Notification: November 9, 2018

Summer 2019: February 8, 2019
Summer Grant Recipient Notification: April 1, 2019

Eligibility : Enrolled graduate and undergraduate student at Harvard University

Undergraduate Internship Grant Application:

Undergraduates applying to an internship site that is an organization that requires a tuition payment should apply only to OCS for funding. All application materials should be uploaded and submitted via CARAT

* Completed CARAT Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute Undergraduate Winter Internship Grant
* Letter of acceptance from an in-region organization detailing the terms of your internship (must include name of the organization, supervisor information, dates of proposed internship)
* 750 word proposal detailing your rationale for pursuing this project
* Current one-page resume
* Current transcript (unofficial printout is okay)
* Two letters of recommendation (Your recommenders may upload their letter directly to the CARAT system or email them to sainit@fas.harvard.edu)

Graduate Internship Grant Application:

All application materials should be uploaded and submitted via CARAT

* Completed CARAT Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute Graduate Winter Internship Grant
* 750-word proposal outlining your rationale for pursuing this project
* Letter of acceptance from an in-region organization detailing the terms of your internship (must include name of the organization, supervisor information, dates of proposed internship)
* A current resume/CV
* Current transcript (unofficial is okay)
* Two letters of recommendation (Your recommenders may upload their letter directly to the CARAT system or email them to sainit@fas.harvard.edu)
