A Four Week Self-Financed Summer Training cum Internship Programme in Civil Engineering (STIPCE-2019)  10th June – 05th July, 2019 Organized by Department of Civil Engineering, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad , Prayagraj- 211004, India

OBJECTIVE

Summer training cum internship programme will be held in MNNIT Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India for four weeks. The aim of this training programme cum internship is to disseminate the expertise of the faculty to under graduate students in various fields of Civil Engineering. This training programme will provide the students, engineers and  professionals a clear understanding of the basic practices in the different specializations of Civil Engineering.

ABOUT MNNIT ALLAHABAD

The Institute was established as Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College in the year 1961 and was later upgraded as a National Institute of Technology with the status of Deemed University on June 26, 2002. Now, this Institute is known as Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad. The foundation stone of the institute was laid by the first Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru on the May 3, 1961 on a site spreading across 222 acres on the bank of the river Ganga. The Institute has very good infrastructure with state-of-art facilities in all the
departments for teaching and research. Institute offers 9 UG and several PG programmes besides MBA, MCA, M.Sc. in Mathematics and Scientific Computing and Masters in Social Work. Doctoral programmers are offered in various disciplines of Technology, Science, Humanities and Management.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Civil Engineering offers one Bachelor of Technology and four Master of Technology courses with
specialization in Structural, Geotechnical, Environmental and Transportation Engineering on regular basis. Further, the department is a recognized QIP Centre for the post-graduate studies. The course curriculum is up-to-date, spanning disciplines that cover both traditional concepts and recent developments. A strong foundation is laid through courses on Concrete and Steel structure, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Irrigation Engineering and Computer Applications. Also, the students are offered a variety of electives like Bridge Engineering, Computer Simulation, Rock Mechanics and Operations Research etc.

ABOUT STIPCE

The Department of Civil Engineering is organizing four-week self-financed summer Training programme. The Course is designed for Undergraduate Students of Engineering Institutions. The course has been designed to cover the practical concepts of the different fields of Civil Engineering. Since 2015, STIPCE has provided superior learning
experience to students and professionals.

SPEAKERS/ EXPERTS

Expert faculty members from MNNIT Allahabad will deliver lectures. The experiments will be conducted in the laboratory of Civil Engineering Department, MNNIT Allahabad.

VENUE

The training programme will be conducted in the Department of Civil Engineering, MNNIT, Allahabad. The inaugural is scheduled at 10:00 AM on June 10, 2019.

ELIGIBILITY

Students pursuing B.Tech./ B.E. from the recognized Academic Institutions/Universities. Engineers / Professionals
possessing Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering.

LIMITED SEATS

Seats are limited to 60 (Sixty) on first cum first serve basis

REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee for the course is as follows:

(a) Student (Individual) Rs 10,000

(b) Engineers/Professionals Rs 15,000

Hard copy of duly filled and signed registration from should be sent to the coordinators on or before June 03, 2019 along with the fee as per the above mentioned category through Demand Draft in favor of “STIPCE 2019” payable at
“Allahabad”. Registration fee may also be transferred through NEFT/RTGS/Net-Banking on following details:-

Account Name: STIPCE 2019, Account Number: 718401011013001, IFSC Code: VIJB0007184, Bank & Branch: VIJAYA BANK, MNNIT Allahabad. The course fee is non-refundable if student is shortlisted for the course. However, course fee will be refunded in case student is not selected. Scanned copy of the filled form may be emailed to coordinator(s) in advance. Registration fee includes Inaugural tea, Programme Kit, Snacks and Valedictory Lunch.

BOARDING AND LODGING

Boarding, lodging (As per MNNIT Allahabad norms), fooding and travel expenses shall be borne by the participants .
Limited shared accommodation may be available in the Hostels/ Executive Development Centre of the Institute on
first come first served basis. Please note that accommodation fee is not included in the registration fee.
