TIFR Advanced Programme in Physics for First-Year M.Sc Women Students

Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, and Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) are organizing a residential summer school in physics for women students completing their first year of a M. Sc. course in physics, or its equivalent, from 25 June to 12 July, 2020. The programme will be held at the HBCSE campus in Mumbai. It will aim to provide the students with an exposure to advanced research topics and opportunities. The students in this school will also get the opportunity to be taught, inspired and mentored by eminent women scientists

* Three-week residential summer school

* Advanced theoretical physics courses

* Advanced experiments

* Visits to TIFR Main Campus laboratories

* Lectures by eminent women scientists

* Mentoring on gender related issues

* Physics Education Research

Eligibility:

* Women students enrolled in 1st year of M.Sc., or 4th year of integrated B.Sc-M.Sc. programme in Physics.

* Students enrolled in Integrated M.Sc- Phd programmes are not eligible
