Objectives

To impart undergraduate, post graduate, and doctoral education in identified areas of higher education.

To undertake research programs with industrial interface.

To integrate its growth with the global needs and expectations of the major stakeholders through teaching, research, exchange & collaborative programs with foreign or Indian universities, institutions and MNCs.

To act as a nodal center for transfer of technology to the industry.

To provide job oriented professional education to the Indian student community with particular focus on Haryana.

Ph.D. PROGRAMME

The Ph.D. programme is framed according to standards set by UGC (UGC Minimum standards and procedure for award of M.Phil/ PhD Degree} Regulations, 2016 under the guidance of highly qualified and widely recognized faculty in their respective fields. This Ph.D. programme is for exceptionally gifted individuals who want to pursue an academic career and contribute to the society. KRMU offers Ph.D. Programme under the guidance of supervisor

Eligibility Criteria: –

A postgraduate degree or equivalent in the concerned subject from a recognised Indian University, or a postgraduate degree approved by the Association of Indian Universities/UGC/AICTE with not less than 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale.

PhD admission is open only for those students who have qualified UGC-NET ( including JRF/UGC-CSIR NET) GATETteacher fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil programme.

PhD admission is open for regular University faculty.

Admission process : –

Shortlisted candidates will be called for written examination and interview. They will be required to pay a Registration-cum-Processing fee of Rs. 5000/- (Non Refundable).

Admission to Ph.D. Programme will be based on the overall performance in Post Graduate degree, Entrance Examination, Personal Interview, and facilities available. Preference will be given to CSIR/UGC NET qualified candidates and those having sponsored projects.

Written Entrance Examination: –

It will broadly test the research aptitude and ability to comprehend. Candidates with NET, SLET, GATE, MPAT, M.Phil or equivalent qualification may be exempted from Entrance Examination.

Personal Interview : –

Candidates who clear the written entrance examination will be selected for Personal Interview. The interview will be conducted by the Interview Board of the University to comprehensively judge in depth of knowledge in the concerned subject/area and ability to do research. Admitted candidates will be required to pay the first installment of the Ph.D. programme fee and security deposit within the specified time to confirm the admission.
