About Kotak Junior Scholarship 2023-2024

Kotak Junior Scholarship is a collaborative CSR project of Kotak Mahindra Group companies to promote education and livelihood among economically disadvantaged sections of society. Kotak Junior Scholarship is a Pan-Mumbai Scholarship, a Pan-Mumbai Scholarship which will focus on selecting highly meritorious students from low income families and supporting them with scholarship and other allied programs to ensure they complete Class 12 and take admission into professional courses. This program, spanning an initial term of 2 years for Class 11 + students from SSC, CBSE, and ICSE board involves robust student engagement activities beyond financial support such as one-to-one mentoring, academic support, career guidance sessions, entrance exam preparation support, exposure visits, and home visits to support students to build sustainable careers. It will also nurture the capabilities of students so that they can fulfill their true potential and create a ripple effect in their communities, thereby inspiring other students to pursue education beyond Class 10.

Eligibility Criteria :

* Applicants must have secured above 85% in class 10 Board exams

* Applicant’s Annual family income must be Rs. 3,20,000/- or less

Features of the Scholarship :

* A Scholarship amount would be provided to students for class 11 and 12.
* Student engagement activities such as one-to-one Mentoring, Academic Support, Career Guidance Sessions, Entrance * Exam Preparation Support, Exposure visits, and Home visits shall be observed during the tenure of the Scholarship Program.

Documents required

* Income certificate (उत्पन्नाचा दाखला ) from collector’s office(Either Maharashtra or India Govt)
* Recent passport-size photograph (mandatory)
* Aadhar Card of both the parents and student (mandatory)
* Pan Card of at least one earning parent/guardian.
* SSC Mark sheet – e-copy allowed (mandatory)
* School leaving certificate.
* If income tax is paid or an IT return is filed by any family member, then the latest copy of the IT return along with 26AS.
* Death certificate in the case of a single parent.
* Student’s Bank account (bank statement or first page of bank passbook) (mandatory)
