Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya ji founded BHU in 1916 on the bank of holy river Ganga. This national institute epitomizes a synthesis of ancient wisdom and modern scientific temper spread over 5000 acres. BHU is among the world’s largest universities. Malviya ji considered education as the primary means for achieving the national awakening.
Mahila Mahavidyalya (MMV), BHU right from its inception has been striving towards women’s education. Malviya Ji foresaw immense significance of women’s education and the critical role of women would have to play in the development of the country. Mahamana opened this college exclusively for women wherein an amalgamation of the vedic ideal and modern scholarship would work towards shaping the Indian women to take on their role as capable citizens.
The population of the country is continuously increasing and also the education system of our country faces several issues like, the issues of access, equity, relevance, quality, management and financing. Now days the entire world is moving speedily towards digitization and we have to learn new things using new technologies. The ICT plays a major role in addressing these issues. In this context, MOOCs are
very successfully bridging the digital divide as through these courses quality of education can be brought at the doorstep of every learner at virtually no cost. Taking cognizance of such advancements, the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India launched SWAYAM, an integrated developed online platform aimed at providing learning opportunities to the learners through MOOCs free
of cost in the form of supervised learning and follow the concept of three A’s (Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere) by using Smart Mobile /Laptop. The content available on the SWAYAM are of high quality, curriculum-based, interactive content in different subjects across disciplines of social sciences, arts, fine arts, humanities, natural & mathematical sciences, linguistics, languages, technology, management, teacher training and skill sector and developed by the best faculty of the country chosen from various educational institutions across the country from Secondary till Post-Graduation level.
The workshop includes lecture series and hands-on training by providing adequate practical knowledge. The mandate of School of Education under PMMMNMTT scheme, MHRD is also to train in-service teachers.

Eminent scientists from all over India and highly experienced faculty members from MMV and Institute of Science, BHU will provide training to the workshop participants.
Interested candidates may send their application through E mail at the E mail id given below in the prescribed format till 29th February 2020. Hard copy of the application must be sent till 05h March
2020, at Assistant Registrar Office, MMV, BHU. Selected participants will be intimated through email latest by 10 th March 2020.
