Gender equality is fundamentally related to sustainable development and globally accepted as a necessity for the promotion of human rights. In the context of local government, gender equality is critical as women and men face different challenges in full participation, representation, and decent work opportunities. The practical integration of gender in all dimensions of governance require understanding of gender mainstreaming.
Training Objectives
After completion of the Course the participants will be able to
* Define the concept of gender and distinguish gender from sex.
* Identify gender-issues in program-design and implementation
* Undertake gender-equitable initiatives and implementation practices.
Duration: 5-Days 2.30 PM to 5.00 PM
