About Oil and Natural Gas Corporation ONGC – Sports Scholarship Scheme 2026-2027
ONGC Sports Scholarship Scheme 2026-2027, eligibility, selection criteria, terms & conditions.
The objective is to provide financial assistance to economically weaker young talented sportspersons who have the potential to excel in the sports & inspire younger generation for engaging in sports activities.
In case of submission of fake certificate by the candidates, the application will be rejected and ONGC reserves the right to take suitable legal action against such candidates.
Application period: 22/09/2025 (11:00 AM) to 21/10/2025 (04:00 PM).

Dear Sir/Mam,
Myself Devang malhara, Iam a twenty year old aspiring mountaineer, I have completed my basic mountaineering course from Nehru institute of Mountaineering Uttarkashi. I wish to enroll myself for the advance mountaineering course but the lack of funds is keeping me back. The fee for advance mountaineering course is 27,000 rupees. The financial aid Iam seeking for is 50,000. In which my fee will be covered. The addition aid of 23,000 will be utilised in the technical equipments that are needed for mountaineering like ice axe, rucksacks & trekking shoes.
Trekking and mountaineering teaches a lot about life in general. The greatest lesson it has taught me is to be grateful of things you already have. The philosophical and spiritual angle to it teaches a lot about life and the way you see it. The mountaineering is divided into three main training types that is Rock climbing, Snow training & Ice training. The 32 day advance mountaineering course makes us all ready for any kind of situations that can arise in the mountains like avalanches, snow storm, etc. I wish to do this course as there are many expeditions where certifications are mandatory. This will really turn out to be a milestone in my journey. The training programme also has three different exams based on Physical strength, Mental strength and the Quick response or surprise test. This course is conducted by the Ministry Of Defence and all our instructors are military personnel. It also adds theoretical knowledge of topograpgy of mountains & also diff. types of medical problems which can arise due to high altitude. The futuristic scope increases a lot after this course as there are many trekking firms looking out for trek leader and even there are some position in security forces too.
Mountaineering and trekking is till date a lesser known sport field I wish to grow this fiend and make it reach to maximum people.
