About the College:

QIS College of Engineering and Technology was established by Sri Nidamanuri EducationalSocietyin the year 1998 to promote technological education to meet the requirements of a developing nation in the context of global concern at the threshold of the twenty first century. A team of educated, enlightened, experienced technocrats with vision, firmly determined to promote high quality education is striving to provide every facility for achieving excellence. The college is one of the best colleges in and around the Prakasam District. The Standards of teaching are very high when compared with the other colleges. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and got permanent affiliation from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. The college is accredited by NBA thrice, NAAC with A grade and recently acquired Autonomous status. The Engineering Programmes offered by our institution are designed for career initiation and growth of our students in the competitive market place.

About the Department:

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at QIS College of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 1998 with the approval of AICTE with an intake of 60 and now the intake is enhanced to 240.

During the short span of time, the department has established itself as one of the strongest departments of our College. Department recognized as research center by JNTUK-Kakinada. There are well qualified, dedicated and experienced staff members with Ph.D., & PG qualifications. The department has well equipped labs and provides excellent facilities for learning. The Mechanical Engineering Association(MEA)of our department periodically organizes seminars, symposium and guest lectures for the benefit of students.

About Ongole:

Ongole is a city in Prakasam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the headquarters of Prakasam district and also the Mandal headquarters of Ongole Mandal in Ongole revenue division. Ongole cattle, an indigenous breed of oxen, derived its name from Ongole.
