Scholarships In National Capital Territory Of Delhi

National Talent Search Exam 2020, National Means -Cum-Merit Scholarship Exam 2019-20 & Junior Science Talent Search Exam 2019-20.

Directorate of Education, Delhi shall hold the following 3 Exams :

I. First Stage National Talent Search Examination (NTSE)-2020 which will be held on 17.11.2019 (Sunday) for the students presently studying in class X in Govt., Govt. Aided and Unaided recognized Pvt. Schools including the Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, School of MCD, NDMC. DCB etc. under GNCT of Delhi. There will be two papers 1. Mental Ability Test (MAT) 2. Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) in this Examination. Reservation for OBC-27%, [ non creamy layer as per central list is available on www.ncbc.nic.in], SC-15%, ST- 7.5%, Disabled category 4% (within category) & Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)-10% (EWS candidates have to produce income & assets certificate issued by the competent authority) as per norms of NCERT. The selected students will be eligible for the find stage of NTSE-2020 to be conducted by NCERT(Minimum Qualifying marks as per norms of NCERT.(40%for Gen., OBC,& EWS and 32%for SC, ST &PH) in each paper.

II. National Means-Cum-Merit Examination (NMMS)-2019-20 to be conducted on 01.12.19 (Sunday) for the students presently studying in Class-VIII in Govt., Govt. Aided and Local Body Schools i.e. School of MCD and NDMC. The selected students will be nominated to MHRD for disbursing scholarship.(Minimum Qualifying marks as per norms of MHRD. (40%for Gen. & OBC and 32% for SC, ST &PH), in aggregate in MAT & SAT taken together.

III. JSTS-2019-20 which will be held on 15.12.2019 (Sunday) for the students presently studying in Class IX in Govt., Govt. Aided and Unaided recognized Pvt. Schools including KVS, Navodaya, NDMC, DCB etc. under GNCT of Delhi. The selected students will be given scholarship and certificate by the Directorate of Education, GNCT of Delhi. (Minimum Qualifying marks are 40% marks in G.K. and 40% Marks in Science and Maths combined.

Eligibility Criteria

NTSE: The students who have secured 60% marks in class IX for General category, OBC & Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 55% marks for reserved Categories (SC,ST & PH) in the session 2018-19 as per NCERT Norms. No income limit is prescribed.

NMMS : The Students who have secured 55% marks in class VII for General category and 50% marks for the reserved categories in the session 2018-19. The parental annual income from all sources should not exceed Rs.1,50,000/- annually for all categories of students during 2019-20 and they will have to provide Income Certificate from the Employer of the parents (Certified Pay slip) or their area Tehsildar.

JSTS : The students who have secured 65% marks in class VIII in the session 2018-19. No income limit is prescribed.
