About the Organisation

The Swami Dayanand Education Foundation (SDEF) is a registered nonprofit founded in 2015 by Ashutosh Garg, an engineer based in Sugar Land, Texas. Since our founding, we have awarded over 1,100 Merit-cum-Means Scholarships to students across India.

100% of donations go directly to scholars, with no overhead or administrative fees. SDEF has also been recognised as a GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Nonprofit for 2026.

Scholarship Details

Name: SDEF India Scholarship 2026–27

Award Amount: Up to ₹50,000 per year, renewable for eligible scholars

Eligible Courses: Engineering (B.Tech/BE), MBBS, BDS, Pharmacy, Architecture, BCA, B.Sc. IT, and other approved professional undergraduate programmes

Eligibility: First-year students enrolled in approved professional undergraduate programmes across India. Selection is based on academic merit, financial need, and family circumstances.
