About Vodafone Idea Teachers Scholarship 2021 – Vodafone Idea Foundation

Vodafone Idea Students’ and Teachers’ Scholarships are a CSR initiative of Vodafone Idea Limited and were introduced in 2020. These scholarships aim to acknowledge teachers who have demonstrated exemplary teaching methods and deserving students who need support.

As part of its education portfolio, Vodafone Idea Foundation created India’s largest multi-lingual (English plus seven Indian languages) online scholarship discovery and assistance platform – www.learningwithvodafoneidea.in – which houses information on scholarships for students and teachers worth more than Rs. 15,000 crores.

Since the portal was made live in August 2017, we have helped around 36,000 students get a scholarship, several of whom were helped for the first time. We reached out to more than 10 lakh students through a mix of offline programmes and online campaigns to reach as many students as possible.

In our journey of helping students fulfil their dreams, we have come across several well-deserving students and teachers who need immediate support. Despite the extremely important roles that teachers play in the education sector, their efforts and participation as real change makers is not recognized and appreciated enough.

Due to this, Vodafone Idea Foundation launched a new free scholarship programme called ‘VI Teachers’ and Students’ Scholarship’ in 2020. With the aim to help students and facilitate teachers in their effort to bring about real change, we recognized 200 teachers and supported 2500 students with this free scholarship in India. We are extremely happy to announce this year’s scholarship programme with the aim to reach more people and help them build brighter futures.

Eligibility criteria for VI Teachers’ Scholarship 2021-22

* Full time teachers (could be serving as Head Masters/Head Mistress, Principal)
* From government, government-aided and low-income private schools
* Teaching any subject
* Teaching standards 6th and above
* Recognized academic excellence (Awards, Published Papers)
* Should not have received VI or any other scholarship in the last academic year

Permissible Expenses

* Subscriptions to educational magazines, journals, and reference books
* IT equipment such as laptop, printer, scanner etc.
* Course fees for advanced teacher training courses at B Ed. Colleges and/or Universities
* Fees for organizing science events at school

Documents

* Passport size photo
* Proof of Identity (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport or any other government-issued ID)
* Proof of Employment (Appointment letter, Employer-issued ID card, Salary Slip)
* Proof of Academic Excellence (Certificate, Citation, Paper Acceptance, Published Papers)
* Bank Details (Copy of cheque/Passbook /Account Statement)
