We.care Scholarships & Western Digital Scholarships for STEM

Western Digital is committed to addressing access to STEM education for underrepresented and underprivileged students. Scholarships are currently awarded to deserving students in the following countries:

* United States

* China

* India

* Israel

* Japan

* Malaysia

* Philippines

* Thailand

* We.care Scholarships will be offered in Israel through this program. STEM scholarships in Israel are offered through another existing partnership.

Western Digital Scholarships for STEM

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship:

* Be an undergraduate student enrolled on a full-time basis at a four-year accredited university located in the countries where scholarships are being offered.

* Majoring in Computer Science (B.S. programs only), Engineering, Mathematics, or Science (excluding agricultural sciences, health and other life sciences).

* Have a minimum grade average of 3.0 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale.

* Demonstrate financial need.

* Be from a traditionally under-represented population in the STEM disciplines including females and individuals of African-American or Latino descent in the United States.

Award Details

* Up to 400 one-time scholarships, ranging from $1,500 to $5,000 will be awarded annually.

* Students must meet major and enrollment requirements to receive award.

* A single applicant may not win more than one award in a year. Applicants may re-apply in subsequent years and be awarded one additional time only.

* The scholarships will be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for course load at an accredited four-year college/university.

We. care Scholarships

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship:

* Be a legal dependent of a Western Digital employee with an employee level of 109 or below.

* Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at a four-year college/university in the United States, China, Japan, India, Israel, Malaysia, Philippines, or Thailand.

* Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

* Demonstrate financial need.

Award Details

* Up to 100 one-time scholarships ranging from $1,500 to 5,000 will be awarded annually.

* Students must meet enrollment requirements to receive award.

* A single applicant may not win more than one award in a year. Applicants may re-apply in subsequent years and be awarded one additional time only.

* The scholarships will be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment required for course load at accredited, nonprofit colleges/universities.

* Students may transfer from one institution to another and retain the award.
