Workshop on Data Analysis Techniques for Advanced Learning using SmartPLS & R at NIT Hamirpur

About the workshop:

The significance of data and its effective analysis is unavoidable to have a good piece of research and to make a fruitful decision. From students to scholars, individual researchers to research institutes throughout the world come across this data analysis part to carry out their research. Statistics and statistical analysis plays a crucial role in research and analyzing data. This workshop aims to provide hands on training in understanding the concepts in data analysis and statistical techniques for data analysis using SmartPLS and R, which are one of the most widely used software package in the field of Data Science and Management across the world. This programme will help the participants in applying proper research methodology and improving their analysis by applying various statistical techniques using SmartPLS and R. The workshop programme would be useful for overall development of teachers, trainers, researchers and professionals.

Objectives of the workshop programme:

The following will be the objectives of workshop:

• To understand the data analysis techniques
• To build a strong theoretical and conceptual foundation of statistical tools specifically SmartPLS and R
• To provide a platform for faculty and scholars to lead in direction of quality publications.
• To provide a hands-on exposure on data analysis Softwares (SmartPLS and R)

Basics of Research, T-Test, ANOVA, Factor Analysis-SEM, Regression Analysis, SmartPLS; Basics, EFA, CFA, Structure Equation Modeling (SEM), Partial Least Squares Regression (PLS) and SmartPLS, Basic of R studio, Cluster analysis, Discriminant analysis, Decision Tree, Predictive: Multiple regression, Logistic regression, Conjoint analysis, Qualitative analytics: Text mining, Word cloud, CFA and SEM using R, Moderation and Mediation analysis using R, Research priorities: How to select research topic, How to write paper for Scopus Index Journal, How to identity appropriate peer reviewed journal (publication perspective)

Pedagogy:

Practical examples, group discussions, conceptual lectures,Case analysis and experience sharing are some of the techniques that would be employed in the workshop programme.

Resource Persons/Speakers:

Faculties/Experts from IIMs, IITs, NITs, IIITs and other premier Institutes/Organizations will deliver the lectures.

Certificate:

Certificate will be given to the registered participants after successful completion of the programme.
