ABOUT INST

Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of
NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to -boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. The institute is currently operating from its transit campus at Habitat Centre,
Sector-64, Phase-X, Mohali, Punjab. The new campus of INST is being set upson 35 acers of land in the Knowledges City at Sector-81 (Mohali, Punjab), next to IISER Mohali campus. INST,amongst other scientific institutions of Chandigarh and its nearby area is also part of Chandigarh Region Innovation and Knowledge Cluster (CRIKC), an initiative of Punjab Government to foster and sustain close academic alliances between institutions in the Chandigarh region. Nanotechnology, the manipulation of matter at the atomic and molecular scale to create materials with remarkably varied and new properties, is a rapidly expanding area of research with huge potential to revolutionize our lives and to provide technological solutions to problems in agriculture, energy, environment, medicine and many more. Microfluidics is one such growing area where the manipulation of fluid and analysis of fluid flow is carried out in micron scale. This microfluidic technology with nanotechnology empowers the downscaling of lab setting to a portable format by miniaturized devices for test and sensitive detection. Being a renowned scientist in the field of microfluidics, he has led his own start-up Company to effectively translate his research into the design of medical products with the objective to bring out novel devices for low cost medical diagnostics.INST offers one of the best PhD and post doctoral program in the field of nano science and nanotechnology. ELIGIBILITY

Only masters and Ph.D. students with strong relevance of research in the area of microfluidics.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
