Workshop on Multivariate Data Analysis using SPSS at University of Hyderabad May 18-23

About the Workshop

Multivariate data analysis is a prerequisite for business analytics. Irrespective of the AI/ML tools used in today’s business analytics domain, someone needs to acquire in-depth knowledge about multivariate data analysis techniques. Looking at the growing demand for business analytics tools and techniques, the workshop has been proposed to fulfill the requirement of the scholars, faculties and industrial analysts to equip them with necessary intellectual inputs facing the analytics revolution. As everyone is not expected to have learnt statistics beforehand we propose to arrange additional training to such participants on various areas of basic statistics and its application. Hence, in the process, we propose six days of training, including a day to be spent on basic statistics training.

Outline of the Workshop

Fundamentals of statistics: Introduction of SPSS
Inferential statistics; correlation and regression (simple and multiple)
Logit and probit; exploratory factor analysis (EFA); confirmatory factor analysis (CFA)
Structural equation modeling (SEM); mediation and moderation analyses
Time series and forecasting methods; panel and pooled data analyses
Model fitting; validity; sampling and re-sampling
