Workshop on Simulation Driven Design for Reliable & Efficient Electric Machines

Workshop on Simulation Driven Design for Reliable & Efficient Electric Machines

About the Workshop

Electric power consumption by the electric motor technology occupies a huge potential of nearly 40% of the total global energy demand. However, the electric motor is not consuming but converting the electrical energy to mechanical energy in better efficient way. Even then, there is still requirement at the market end to enhance the efficiency for better utilization of energy resources. Numerous motor designs including rotor topologies, cooling system, winding and magnetic material continues to evolve in the recent decades as part of innovation. Huge R&D projects is continuing in University and Industry worldwide focusing on research to reduce the cost, enhance torque density, power density with superior efficiency and reliability in electric motors. The key guidelines for IM, BLDC, and SynRM motor with industrial practice will be illustrated. This workshop will address the present scenario and illustrates the possible solution for the young design engineers.

OBJECTIVES

The Key objective of conducting the workshop on “Simulation Driven Design for Reliable and Efficient Electric Machines” is to impart latest knowledge to young engineers involved in electrification, motor design for energy efficiency and other spectrum of applications. It emphasizes real world design problems to address the present scenario and illustrate possible solution to the fulfill gap on Industry-University collaborations. This workshop will supplement the undamental concepts and design strategies involved in IM, BLDC & Reluctance motor designs.
