ADMISSION NOTIFICATION (2011 - 2013)
The Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical & Engineering Training (CIFNET) at Kochi/ Chennai/ Visakhapatnam offers career training to candidates in Vessel Navigator and Marine Fitter Trades which have been introduced by Directorate General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour, New Delhi under Craftsman Training Scheme of NCVT. The training courses of 24 months duration include basic practical training on board fishing vessels out at sea. The courses are scheduled to be commenced from 1* August 2011. '
2. Applications in the prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the above courses through entrance examination to be held on 19th June 2011 at CIFNET Kochi, Chennai and Visakhapatnam and selected candidate will be paid Rs.700/- (Seven hundred) per month as stipend.
3. Qualillcatlon:-
(i) Essential: Pass in 10"" Standard (SSL.C) or equivalent examination with 50% in Maths and Science separately. (ii) Desirable: One year fishing experience, (iii) Age: 16 to 20 years as on 1a August 2011 candidates bom between 02.08.91 and 02.08.95 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply. Upper age limit is relaxable to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates by. 5 years.

Application can also be downloaded from our website http://www.clfnet.gov.ln,. Filled in applications with necessary particulars should reach the pirector, CIFNET, Fine Arts Avenue, Kochi-682 016 on or before 27'" May 2011. Duly filled application submitted or sent to the Unit offices ofCIFNET at Chennai and Visakhapatnam will hot be accepted. Applications sent through Fa* or E-Mail also vnill not be treated as valid and will be rejected.
