Advance to Australia India Schools Video Competition 2016

Cambridge English Language Assessment and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission are running a video competition for Indian school students. The five winning teams will win a trip to Australia, hosted by leading Australian universities.

Your students have to demonstrate their advanced English skills and creativity and create a 3-minute video for their chance to win.

Advance to Australia – India Schools Video Competition 2016

Your students can win a five-day trip to Australia

Students from IGCSE, IB, CBSE, ICSE and State Board schools across India can have the chance to win a five-day trip to Australia, hosted by leading Australian universities in the Advance to Australia India Schools Video Competition.

* The competition is open to school students from grades 9 – 11, studying in India.

* Teams should contain a maximum of two students.

* Students must choose one of the following five themes:

* Earth Sciences: The precious balance of life on Earth

* Story-telling through Dance

* Nanotechnology: Creating futuristic technology

Construction Management: Building the cities for the future: how, where and why?

* Aerospace: An exploration of space through robotics.

* Schools can nominate a maximum of five teams (one for each theme)

Teams must produce a short video in English, no longer than 3 minutes, on their chosen theme and upload it on YouTube.

Five grand prizes

Each winning team will receive return flights from India to Australia for two students and one accompanying teacher. Accommodation, food and a study course are also included.

The winners for the best video on Earth Sciences will receive a study visit hosted by Australian National University.

The winners for the best video on Story-telling through Dance will receive a study visit hosted by Macquarie University.

The winners for the best video on Nanotechnology will receive a study visit hosted by RMIT

The winners for the best video on Construction Management will receive a study visit hosted by the University of Southern Queensland.

The winners for the best video on Aerospace will receive a study visit hosted by the University of Sydney.

The competition is organised by Cambridge English Language Assessment and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission. Travel is sponsored by Allianz, Urbanest and Credila.
