About Camel Art Foundation ( Camel Art Foundation Contest  )

 

Kokuyo Camlin Limited has coloured the imagination of thousands of children in India and painted the dreams of the country’s youth by contributing to the growth of art, artists, art appreciation and art education.

Kokuyo Camlin products have been awarded the coveted certificate of non-toxicity from the Art & Creative Materials Institute Inc. (ACMI) Boston, USA and also the European standards certificate. It means that our products adhere to the highest quality standards and have passed the most stringent toxicity and safety parameters.

 

Generations have grown up with Kokuyo Camlin and the company has continued to contribute towards bringing out the ‘hidden artist’ in children, as well as recognizing and appreciating talent in budding and established artists.

 

Launched in 1998, the Camel Art Foundation aims to celebrate and sustain the key role that art plays in the enrichment of our lives. This philanthropic wing of Kokuyo Camlin Limited, set up to promote and spread the language of art, has spearheaded a spectrum of activities and promotion programs.

 

The CAF Contest has won a place of prestige and trust in the art world over the last 19 years of its existence. This online national level contest invites participation from students and professionals above 18 years. Participation is free and covers four mediums – Oil, Acrylic, Water and Drawing & Pastels.

 

Four Professional and 12 Student national awards are given each year.

 

For the current year, the contest module has been simplified and made user friendly. Please refer the CAF Contest 2018 details for the rules and terms of sending online entries.

 

Besides the annual contest, Fine Art Shows are conducted in art institutes across the country which display the vast range of Camel art products and explain their usage by way of demonstrations, try me’s, contests and sampling.

 

The Camel Art Foundation will continue to evolve and encompass not only young and unrecognized talent but also patrons and professionals in the art arena, truly painting India’s tomorrow.

 

 

Camel Art Foundation Contest 2018 Highlights

 

* 18 Years & Above Student / Professional

 

* Mediums: Oil, Acrylic, Water, Drawing & Pastels

 

* Professional – 1 Winner Per Medium – EuroArt Tour*

 

* Student – 1 Winner Per Medium – EuroArt Tour*

 

* 2 Best Entry Winners Per Medium – Camel Products Worth 21,000/-

 

Rules for the Contest

 

1. The registration will be ONLINE (www.kokuyocamlin.com link camel art foundation). Last date of entry is 31st December, 2018.

2. Participants must be 18 years and above to enter this contest & choose ANY ONE category – student or professional.

3. There are four mediums – Oil, Acrylic, Water and Drawing & Pastels. Entry is FREE and you may send unlimited entries in any I all mediums.

4. Each entry should be on separate online entry form. The submission must have high resolution digital image of entry (jpeg format, minimum 300dpi and not exceeding 3 MB).The digital image file name will be the title of painting.

5. The painting should not be retouched and NO OTHER DETAILS should appear on it.

6. Professionals must attach scanned copy of their PAN CARD.

7. Students must submit scanned copy of valid Identity Card of institute or letter from the artist from whom they are learning.

8. All entries sent for the contest must be bona fide works of the artists and executed after May 2017.

9. The submitted paintings should be prepared solely for the purpose of this contest and any painting that has been exhibited in any competitive contest and I or exhibition shall be disqualified.

 

10. The actual size of painting should be above 30 x 30 centimeters WITHOUT FRAME.

11. Professional and Student National Winners will be declared after portfolio submission and telephonic ISKYPE interview.

12. The national prize will be a sponsored EuroArt Tour for 7-8 professional and student winners.

13. EuroArt Tour will be for 7 -10 days to any art centric location during May to July 2019

14. National Best Entry student winners will receive Camel product prizes worth MRP’ 21,000 each.

15. National Winners and Exhibits will be informed by email I phone call during Feb-Mar 2019.

16. Trophy and certificate will be hand delivered I couriered to National Winners in 2019.

17. The entries selected in final judging will be exhibited ONLINE and offered for sale unless otherwise mentioned by the artist in the entry form.

18. The awards are not encashable or transferable.

 

Terms and Conditions

 

* The entrant I participant hereby agrees that Camel Art Foundation shall have the right to use I reproduce I sell any of the participated works in any of their publications I products I activities. Respective artist will be mentioned and no remuneration in either cash or kind will be given.

 

*  The entrants I participants understand that their work shall be in public domain and the entrants / participants shall at no point of time hold Camel Art Foundation responsible for any third party infringement of their copyright

 

* Camel Art Foundation reserves the right to disqualify I reject any work if the jury considers it unworthy due to reasons including but not limited to number, quality, finesse, etc.

 

* Winner would be declared through fair competition and selection for participation is done only if the candidates abide by the rules and terms & conditions mentioned on our website and respective brochure.

 

* Camel Art Foundation shall put up the paintings for an online exhibition on its Website.

 

* If the paintings get selected for a physical I online exhibition in any of the Art Gallery with which Camel Art Foundation is associated with, then the artist will abide by the rules and regulations of the said facility.

 

* The role of Camel Art Foundation is to the extent of bridging the artist with the art gallery and Camel Art Foundation will have no role to play in the physical I online exhibition of the Paintings and the transaction between the artist and the said art gallery.

 

* The artist should be aware that the said art galleries have their own set of rules and regulations, terms and conditions.

 

* Camel Art Foundation is a philanthropic endeavor of Kokuyo Camlin Limited which has been set up to promote the language of Art and also to encourage young as well as professional artists. Camel Art Foundation shall not be responsible for any claims and/or damages from any artists/entrants/participants.

 

* In case of dispute and legal action is initiated, the case should be filed in Mumbai jurisdiction
