About DPDP Mascot Design with a Name Contest
The Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 is a landmark legislation that protects the personal data of every citizen and establishes the rights of Data Principals and the obligations of Data Fiduciaries. As India enters the implementation phase of the Act, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is undertaking a nationwide awareness programme to help every citizen understand their rights over their personal data. National E-Governance Division under MeitY in collaboration with MyGov invites citizens, designers, students, artists and creative minds to design a Mascot along with a name that will become the friendly face of data protection in India. It should instantly connect with citizens of all ages and regions, and convey trust, safety and empowerment in the digital world.
