Movia: The Movie Making Competition

Giving a medium to all young geniuses who believe in showing the world the unseen!!!

The Challenge is organised by Indian Road Safety Campaign (IRSC) in collaboration with MORTH and UNITAR under iSAFE’18: National Level Road Safety Championship for Student, was designed to give participants the opportunity to use their creativity in producing an animated video on ‘road safety’ which is a major challenge that impacts the safety and security of youth and their ability to contribute to the development of their communities. Prizes will be awarded to the Participants who submit the best videos as determined by the judges in their sole discretion at the IRSC Forum.

Addressing the topic “Youth and Road Safety: Save a life, Save a Future”, the challenge is to develop a video utilizing one or more risk factors that will increase awareness amongst your peers of the risk factors to Road Safety. (Risk factors included: non-use of seatbelts, speeding, drinking alcohol and drug use, non-use of helmets, distracted driving, fatigue and not being visible enough on the roads)

Who can enter?

You can enter this competition if You:

● are a resident of India; and
● are between 16 and 25 years of age as at 10th May, 2019 (Competition closing date);
and
● are a College Student.

How to enter?

● To enter the Competition, You must register on the iitd.info/irscmovia
● Registration starts : 13th April 2019 Registration end: 30th April 2019
● The Entry Materials must be Your original work. You warrant that the Entry Materials does not infringe on anyone else’s intellectual property rights.
● There is no fee to enter the Competition, but You are responsible for all of the costs of preparing the Entry Materials.
● We do not accept any responsibility if Your Entry/final Materials are not received, in whole or in part, for any reason and You agree to make Your own enquiries regarding whether Your Entry Materials have been received by Us.
● You are responsible for ensuring that You comply with these Terms and Conditions and all other legal requirements in relation to the Competition.

Format

The films may be shot in MPEG4 or MKV format.

Duration

The total runtime of the Short Film, including opening & closing credits, should be a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 6 minutes. Films exceeding this time limit will not be eligible for the Prizes.

Language

The short films must be in ENGLISH / HINDI.

Entry submissions are now open to MOVIA. Go ahead and submit your short film to stand a
chance to win lots of prizes.

The Short Film can be based on the following subjects/themes:

❖ The Drink Drill or the Safety Pill,
❖ Important of Good Samaritan Laws,
❖ Importance of being a first responder,
❖ The Golden Hour,
❖ The problem is in our hands
❖ Maybe some other.

Video can be highlighting 7 key road safety practices:

● Don’t overspeed
● Non-violation of traffic rules
● Don’t use mobile phone while driving
● Use seatbelt
● Don’t drink and drive
● Discouraging underage driving
● Pedestrian safety

How to send your video?

Please upload the movie on google drive and send to us the drive Link along with the filled up Submission Form (enclosed) by the 10th of May, 2019.
