Applications Open for 2027 Awards

The Inlaks Fine Art Awards support young, emerging Indian artists to build and strengthen their practice.

The Inlaks Fine Art Award enables the recipient to undertake independent work in India for one year, with a stipulation to attend a recognized Art Residency programme for 4 weeks during the year.

Duration and Value

* The Award is worth INR 3,00,000/- for a period of one year.

* Additionally the Awardee will be required to attend an art residency programme within India for a period of four weeks during the course of the year resulting in an open day event.

Eligibility Criteria

* The applicant must be an Indian citizen, currently residing in India.

* The applicant must be born on or after 1st January 1996.

* The applicant may be a recent graduate/post-graduate or a final year student from a leading Indian institute for visual arts in India.

* If the applicant has applied for the award earlier, they must submit a new body of work if they re-apply.

* In the case of an applicant not having a formal degree in the visual arts, it is desirable that they would have participated in organised art exhibitions.
