As technical change reshapes the world economy, intellectual property (IP) has grown in importance and taken on a central economic role. The increasing globalization of economic affairs and the increased knowledge intensity of economic activities have lead to the emergence of knowledge economy.
ASSOCHAM and ERICSSON is jointly initiating Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE) to educate the intellectual property in India at school and college level.
The objective of the proposed Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE) is to help spread awareness on Intellectual Property and foster spirit of innovation and enterprise amongst India’s vast young talent pool. Besides, this initiative would help to identify and tap excellence in the realm of Patent, Copyright, and Trademark & Design – collectively known as Intellectual Property (IP). The modus operandi would entail dissemination of online module on IP followed by an online exam targeted at class IX to XII school students and college students. Further, this exam is for UGs (Undergraduation).
* The ASSOCHAM-ERICSSON Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE) is designed for both School and College Students.
* The course content is designed and developed in a such a manner that, it can be easily read and understood by School students as well as college students. However, college students will have to appear for a few additional questions during the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
* College Students of any stream (Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Others), both Under Graduates and Post Graduates, can participate in this Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
* Schools can participate in this Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE) by encouraging the students to take part and present their pro-active involvement in promoting Intellectual Property.
Eligibility Criteria for Schools
1. All schools that provided Secondary and Higher Secondary level education are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
2. All private, public, international & open learning school based within the geographical territory of India are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
3. All Boys, Girls and Co-educational Schools are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
4. All Hindi medium, English medium and other regional language schools are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
1. All students of Class 9, 10, 10+1 & 10+2 are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
2. Students of any stream (Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ etc..) are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
3. All students who can read and write in English language are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
4. All students those have access to Internet are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
1. All college students pursuing or have completed their course are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
2. All college students of any stream (Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Law/ etc..) are eligible to participate in theIntellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
3. All college Under Graduate (UG) students are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
4. All college students from any university are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
5. All college students who have opted for either regular courses or distant learning courses or vocational courses or open learnings are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
6. All college students who want to be IP professionals in the future are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
