Entrance Test for International Earth Science Olympiad-2012 – Geological Society of India

Are you studying in X Std (= SSLC) or XI Std (=Plus 1 = 1st year PUC)

Were you born between 01-07-1994 and 01-07-1997

Do you want to compete at the International Earth Science Olympiad?

If your answers are YES, you should write the Entrance test. ENTRANCE TEST:

It will be held on January 22, 2012 at 55 centers. The ~ 2-hour test at 10 am will be in English & comprise objective type questions spanning the Geosphere, Atmosphere, Hydrosphere & Astronomy. For syllabus & limited reading materials, visit www.geosocindia.org/olympiad/Syllabus.aspx. Applications along with a fee of Rs.25/- by money order or demand draft should be sent to the In-charge of the test center where the candidate intends writing the test. The candidate should carry the school identity card on the day of test.Twenty students chosen after the test will attend a Training Camp.

TRAINING CAMP:

The -20-day Camp in May 2012 will comprise lectures, discussions, planetarium visit and field work. The Indian National Earth Science Olympiad will be held after the Camp. The top four students would represent India at the 6th IESO to be held in Argentina.
