About KSCSTE Logo Designing Competition

Competition for Design of Logo for 27th National Children’s Science Congress is invited.

The National Children Science Congress (NCSC) is a prestigious national academic event held every year during 27th to 31st December. It is a programme for the meritorious children of the age group of 10 to 17 years named as Child Scientists, both from formal and informal mode of education, along with eminent scientists and faculties of the country.

The 27th National Children Science Congress (NCSC) is held during 27th to 31st December 2019 at Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar Campus, Thiruvananthapuram. Every year the host state designs a logo for the National Children Science Congress. In connection with this Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment invites designs from interested persons/team for an appropriate logo.

Submission of entries

Entries may be submitted by interested persons by email to hari.kscste(at)kerala.gov.in with subject of Email as LOGO FOR 27th NCSC or in a Compatible Drive, which should reach the Member Secretary, KSCSTE, Sasthra Bhavan, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram, 694 004

KSCSTE last date

• The last date for accepting entries is 5.00 pm on October 25th 2019.

• The design should be the original work of the participant(s) and must not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

• An entry could be an individual or a team project.

• Every entry should be accompanied by a brief written explanation of the design and how it best symbolizes the concept of the 27th National Children’s Science Congress.

• The logo should have writing “ 27th National Children Science Congress” with date of the event 27th to 31st December 2019) and the cultural heritage of Kerala and components of science must be depicted in the logo.

• The bio data of the applicant/applicants along with contact details should also be attached.

• Each participant can submit no more than two entries.

Acceptable file types:

• TIF, JPG, or PSD(CS3 or lower), EPS file(or AI)-Adobe illustrator

• Logo artwork should be at least 5 inches long along the smallest side.

• File should be of high resolution-at least 300 pixels or inch at 100% size.

Other conditions:

• Entries sent once shall not be returned.

• The final selected logo shall become the intellectual property of the Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment and the designer shall not have any right over the same.

• The Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment shall have the right to use, print or reproduce the prize winning logo in any form it deems fit.

• The responsibility to comply with the guidelines and other conditions fully lies with the participant/participant and the Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment shall not be liable for any dispute raised by a third party.

Selection Process:

1. All entries received by the stipulated date and found in order, shall evaluated by a Jury of Examiners. Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment, if it so decides, reserves the right to not to proceed with the competition at any stage. The designer of the finally selected design will get a prize money of Rs.10,000/- and Certificate and would be required to surrender copyright of the design to the Kerala State Council for Science
Technology and Environment. The decision of Jury of final will be final.
