Department of Life Sciences & Environment Club Announces – 7th National Green India Essay Competition

The Department of Life Sciences and Environment Club of Kristu Jayanti College announces the 7th National Green India Essay Competition, 2019 on the topic “Gen Y’s solutions to Water Conservation”. The Green India Essay competition is an annual, National level essay competition organized by the Department of Life Sciences of Kristu Jayanti College in collaboration with the Environment Club on topics related to the environment to inculcate and foster a sense of responsibility in the young minds of India towards the conservation of the environment. For the past six years, the essay competition has received overwhelming responses and has set itself as one of the most prestigious environment related essay competitions in the country.

Eligibility : The competition is open for the 11th/ 12th/ PUC / equivalent students. The essays can either be sent by post or submitted online.

Last Date : The last date for receipt of entries for the essay competition is 05. 12. 2019.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

* The essay competition is open for students of 11 /12 /PUC or equivalent grades (NRI students are also eligible to compete).

* The essay should be original and handwritten in A4 sheets and should not exceed 1000 words.

* The essay should contain novel and feasible strategies for water conservation.

REGISTRATION:

* Registration forms can be downloaded from the college website (www.kristujayanti.edu.in) using the link ‘Green India’.

* The registration fee is Rs. 250 per participant. The Payment is to be made through DD drawn in favour of ‘The Principal, Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru.

* Payment can also be done through NEFT on request. Participant shall contact the organizers at greenindia2019(at)kristujayanti.com with a request for the bank details.

SUBMISSION OF ESSAYS:

* The Essays should be sent to the college address (given below) so as to reach us on or before 5 December 2019.

* Duly filled registration form attested by the Principal/Head of the Institution and the DD should be sent along with the essay.

* Alternately, candidates paying registration fee through NEFT can send a scanned copy of the essay as a single PDF file to greenindia2019(at)kristujayanti.com along with a scanned copy of Registration form.

DECLARATION OF RESULTS

* The winners will be announced on the college website on 20th December 2019 and felicitated at Kristu Jayanti College campus on 18th January 2020. The decision of the jury shall be final
