About THE CBSE-TERI GREEN OLYMPIAD 2019

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has been conducting GREEN Olympiad in India and abroad for students. This Olympiad checks the environment quotient of students and is aligned with the current school curriculum. This unique initiative also enhances their appreciation of sustainability issues.

About GREEN Olympiad

* Conducted by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi since 1999

* Students of classes IV to X can participate at their respective levels, given below:

Level 1 (for students from classes IV and V)

Level 2 (for students from classes VI, VII and VIII)

Level 3 (for students from classes IX and X)

* Questions are woven around environmental issues, and assess environmentrelated sensitivity of the students.

* Questions on a range of issues related to water, waste, energy, air, agriculture, urban landscapes, biodiversity, climate change, and sustainable development are included in the examination.

Medium : English and Hindi (schools can opt for any one medium)

Schedule : 18 September, 2019 and 16 October, 2019 (Schools can opt for any one date)

Duration : 1 Hour (10:00 am to 11:00 am IST)

Registration fee : Rs. 75/- per student, payable through school only

Certification

* All participants are eligible to receive Certificate of Distinction / Merit / Participation according to their individual performance

* Certificate for all coordinating teachers at school level

* Special awards for state / country winners

Duly filled registration forms, list of participants, bank draft/proof of online payment are to be sent so as to reach TERI, on or before 31 July, 2019 to:
